Ode to Singer/Performer Eartha Kitt: Still Out Here.
This is a memorial mention to singer Eartha Kitt, who died in 2008. This graffiti is located under a bridge on the Mississippi River from the west bank in south Minneapolis. The artistry of this painting is quite complex in technique between the shading and the lettering. Under the arch of the “A” can be seen “Bat Girl,” who Kitt played in a television series in her younger days. She performed “I’m Still Here” at the beginning of act 2 of Folliesm, written in 1971. It was described as a show-stopper. (Photo by Twin Cities Almanac, May 2021).
