Demolition of the Leamington Hotel

The landmark 700 room Leamington Hotel was built in 1912 in downtown Minneapolis. Located across the street from the Curtis Hotel, it was demolished in 1990. For many years, it served as one of the many sites for the fish bowl used in the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Telethon to collect donations. (Photo by Twin Cities Alamanac, 1990).
