As of December 16, 2021 there currently are 179 reported missing persons for the state of Minnesota. The average is 303.44 per state, though some states have way more the average, including Michigan, New York, Washington, Arizona, Texas, Florida, and California. On average, a total of about 17,000 Minnesotans are reported missing throughout each year, but most missing people are eventually found or recovered.
Several Internet sites exist to help locate missing persons. These include Missing in Minnesota (Facebook), Minnesota Missing Report (website), and the Minnesota Missing and Unidentified Persons Clearinghouse (government website).
